Your initial appointment will consist of
a complete evaluation of the following:
Depending on your current periodontal status (gum
condition) and general health, a dental ‘cleaning’
may or may not be done at this initial visit. If
your teeth and gums are generally in good shape then
you will most likely get your teeth cleaned at this
first visit. However, if your periodontal tissues
are inflamed or you have heavy buildup of plaque and
calculus we will need to use this first visit to
more carefully assess your current periodontal
status – this way we can determine what type of
dental ‘cleaning’ is needed and we can then schedule
the time that is needed in order to provide for a
proper cleaning.
Once we have collected all of the pertinent dental
information we share our findings with you. We will
then explain your diagnosis and various treatment
options, including the fees associated with each
option.
